Established in Europe in 1987, the ELGI has grown to be a worldwide recognised body dealing with all issues relating to the grease industry from packaging and environmental issues to the establishment of a dedicated REACH consortium for soap thickeners. ELGI has a good working relationship with other Institutes and affiliated bodies.
Its membership now stands at 150 members and an annual conference (AGM) is held in a different European city each year with delegates now topping 350. In addition to presenting 14 or 15 technical papers on grease related topics the event also offers an excellent platform for networking and combined with a full social programme of events and exhibitions. This is a truly excellent opportunity to meet learn new people in the industry and develop existing relationships in an informal and relaxed environment.
The ELGI Digital Eurogrease Magazine, distributed to more than 2,000 readers worldwide, is aimed at commercial & technical people who are involved in the manufacture, supply and use of lubricating grease. It is our objective to become a focal point for exchange of information and to present a co-ordinated view on matters which internationally impact the industry.
